Quad now has steel to its spine
‘Quad’ has some ‘steel to its spine’ The first ever ‘in-person’ meeting of leaders of the newly-minted four- nation grouping recommitted to partnership, shared security and prosperity—a free and open Indo-Pacific.
The meeting also led to crucial announcements detailing joint efforts on developing critical technology, infrastructure development and addressing climate change besides sharing satellite data, cooperating in space and cyber domains. The four countries will also fund and finance research by 100 scholars each year by way of fellowships.

A large number of detail parts, sub-assemblies and major component assemblies of aero structure are scheduled to be manufactured in India. The programme will act as a catalyst in employment generation in the aerospace ecosystem of the country and is expected to generate 600 highly skilled jobs directly, over 3000 indirect jobs and an additional 3000 medium skill employment opportunities with more than 42.5 lakh man hours of work within the aerospace and defence sector of India.
