Loitering ammunition for beyond line of sight targeting and mini UAV’s for tactical surveillance are part of the needs specified by the FICV project . Some 1750 FICV are planned.

India restructures its 41 military factories into corporate entities

The OFB, which is legacy of the British rule in India, will not exist as an entity in its present from or structure. Seven public sector undertakings ( or Government owned companies) are planned to be created under the MoD. The 41 OFB factories will be subsumed under one or the other new companies based on an assessment of manufacturing abilities of the factory.

China expanding nukes; ‘Launch on warning’ capability

China is expanding its nuclear arsenal, adding longer range missiles, some with multiple warheads and is moving towards adopting a ‘launch-on-warning posture’ for its land-based long range nukes, called the inter-continental ballistic missiles (ICBM’s).
